Want something delicious to top off your muffin, slice of cake, breakfast cookie or whatever you might want to add a bit of icing to without it being just a bunch of sugar? How about an icing that isn’t too sweet, is rich in protein and tastes like cream cheese frosting?
Get your mini food processor out and let’s make a batch of protein icing. You control how sweet you want it. A little sweet or a lot sweet – it’s up to you.
1/2 cup cottage cheese (60 grams)
1/4 cup cream cheese (30 grams)
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
1 TB powdered sugar or honey *
* can use any sweetener of choice, but adjust the amount appropriately, to your taste
Blend it up in a mini food processor. It will become creamy. Place contents in a glass jar & store in the fridge if you don’t use it right away.
